What’s Being Said
After finding myself disabled by a stroke in April of 2021, I was thrown into the world of having to navigate the system to find the help available to me. I was lost and Callie has given me a wealth of information that is allowing me to access the services that are available. The system is so incredibly difficult to navigate, and without someone who understands, it is impossible to access services, especially with a brain injury. She was able to continue helping even when I moved to another state.

I met Callie about 8 years ago after my husband I am were compelled to unilaterally place our autistic adhdifferent son in a private middle school for alternative learners., 60 miles away from our main home. Over the years Callie helped me navigate the complexities of raising and educating a neurodivergent young person in a world/an educational system, that isn’t designed for kids like my son. She supported me in my quest to support and advocate for our son’s need to be his authentic self , to support his mental health and seek to understand/explain difficult behaviors from the perspective of disability.
Our son will soon graduate from high but is not college bound, nor is he ready for career or independent living. Currently Callie is helping us navigate this next big transition to adulthood, helping us consider the various options and learn about adult disability agencies and programs in MA.

I am extremely grateful to Callie for support on our journey and look forward to working with her in the future. She really connects with our son, which is especially helpful now that he is taking on an increased role in deciding what his future might hold.

My youngest daughter was diagnosed with single sided hearing loss when she was three months old. Callie has provided a wealth of information, advice and support that has helped me ensure that my daughter is receiving appropriate supports and accommodations to help her succeed.
I recently attended a webinar that Callie hosted and my daughter wanted to know why Callie sounded different. She was so excited to see and hear that there were other people like her. My daughter and I have both been inspired by the pictures she shares of her hearing devices decorated in so many creative and beautiful ways.
